The short version. PDF Reader opens and renders your documents entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no account and no sign-up. The app is free and supported by ads, and it uses a crash reporter — those two services are the only reason any data leaves your device at all.
This policy explains what the PDF Reader mobile app (“the app”) does with your information.
The app is published by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). It applies to the Android and iOS
versions of the app distributed under the package identifier vn.huda.pdfreader.
PDF and Office documents you open are read and rendered locally, using the operating system’s own document facilities. We do not have a server that receives your files, and the app contains no code that transmits document contents anywhere.
The app keeps a library of the documents you have opened. Stored on your device only, this consists of:
This data lives in a local database in the app’s private storage. It is not synced, not backed up to us, and not readable by other apps. Removing a document from your library, or uninstalling the app, deletes it.
The app needs no connection to read a document already on your device. It contacts the network in three situations only:
The app is free and shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects data on its own behalf — typically a device advertising identifier, IP address, device and OS characteristics, and interactions with the ads shown. We do not receive your documents, your library or your reading history through this, and we never send any of it to the ad service.
Google’s handling of this data is governed by its own policies:
You can limit ad personalisation from your device settings: on Android, under Settings → Privacy → Ads; on iOS, under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, where the app must ask permission before tracking you across other companies’ apps. Declining is respected and the app keeps working normally.
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to learn about crashes so they can be fixed. When the app crashes, a report is sent containing the error and its stack trace, the app version, the device model, and the OS version. It carries an installation identifier that is not tied to your name or account. Reports do not contain document contents, file names, or the contents of your library.
Crashlytics is accompanied by Firebase Analytics, which the crash reporter uses to record the breadcrumb events preceding a crash. Crash reporting is disabled entirely in development builds.

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will look into it.
Because the app stores your library only on your device, you control it directly: remove individual documents from within the app, or uninstall the app to erase everything it has stored. Resetting or deleting your advertising identifier is done in your device settings.
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the EEA and the UK, or the CCPA in California — you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. For data held by Google as described above, exercise those rights through Google. For anything within our control, write to us at the address below and we will respond.
If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s store listing.
